NORTH-EAST BANGLADESH — FOUR RIVERS ABOVE DANGER, CARRIED, WITH THE UPSTREAM DRIVER RISING

Four rivers above danger level in the north-east — the Bhogai-Kangsha, Someshwari and Mogra in Netrokona and the Manu in Moulvibazar. The honest qualifier is that no discrete count dated today surfaced, so the four is carried from Sep 21 and not re-counted. What is new is the driver behind it: upstream inflow risk is rising as the Bay of Bengal system rains onto adjoining north-east India, which is the same parent as the Indian landfall row above.
