Hurricane Polo is a Category 3 this morning, and forecasters expect its centre to cross the west coast of Baja California Sur late this afternoon or early this evening, near major-hurricane strength. At 2 AM it sat about 125 miles south-west of Cabo San Lazaro, with 115 mph winds, moving north-north-east at 10 mph. Conditions are already worsening, and forecasters say that makes further preparations difficult.
