Yesterday a medium 24-hour chance near Chuuk; today a formation alert. The joint centre has 90W at 15.1 N 150.9 E, about 374 nm east-north-east of Guam, 20–25 kt, about 1002 mb, development chance HIGH, with a depression expected within 24 hours tracking north-north-west then north-west and passing north of Maug — no direct threat to Guam or the CNMI. It is a formation alert and a soon-depression, not a typhoon. The raw bulletin header was stale-cached and the position and winds were corroborated against the Tiyan press statement.
