A downshift. The Day-1 outlook carries MARGINAL across the south-central Plains into parts of the Midwest for isolated damaging wind and small-to-near-severe hail, with tornado not emphasised, and a separate Marginal over Utah and western Colorado. Day-2 puts a Marginal near the Great Salt Lake on Wednesday — another item on the midweek pile. Eastern Nebraska into western Iowa, a Slight on Sunday, is now inside the Marginal.
