South Africa steps the coast down and sharpens inland

The cut-off low eased where it was loudest and sharpened where it was not. The KwaZulu-Natal coast now carries only a Yellow level 2 for disruptive rain, down from Friday's Orange level 6. The severe-storm focus has moved inland to an Orange level 5 over the north-east Northern Cape and the extreme western Free State — damaging winds, hail, lightning, danger to life — with Yellow level 2 severe storms and damaging winds across the western Free State, western North West, Northern Cape and western Cape, and an extremely high fire-danger warning over the western Bushveld of Limpopo.
