The count is still moving, on a figure nobody has been able to close. The record stands at a reported at least 1,410 dead and about 6,145 missing in Nepal at a Sep-18 vintage, including 607 foreign nationals from 34 countries, plus 43 dead and about 519 missing in Tibet at a Sep-16 vintage — up from about 1,399 and 6,150 the previous morning. It is compiled through reporting rather than issued as one official count, carried here and not re-counted; older mixed vintages are superseded and not added to it. (Handled with care.)
