Italy steps down to yellow; Spain holds orange in the Balearics

The official side de-escalated, and the label that never was still never was. Italy's Sep-18 bulletin carries yellow — ordinary criticality — across 12 regions, residual in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and the north-east then shifting south, down from Thursday's orange over Liguria and Emilia-Romagna as the Genova Low winds down. Spain's service has narrowed orange to the Balearics and Mallorca alone as high pressure stabilises the mainland. No agency has designated a Mediterranean cyclone.
