Classified overnight at 15 N 148 E, 35 mph, nearly stationary — and forecast to 45 kt early Thursday, 55 kt Thursday afternoon and 65 kt, typhoon strength, Friday afternoon. Only the far-northern CNMI near Maug is at risk; no watches for Guam, Saipan, Tinian or Rota.

The same instruments, resolving in opposite directions on one morning — one genesis carried at high odds for a week took its final advisory at 30 mph, unnamed, while an unnamed invest on the far side of the ocean was classified and put on a ramp to 65 kt by Friday.
